the role

We’re hiring a Senior Business Development Manager to help us scale DEPARTMNT’s tech across fashion, music, and events.

You’ll be responsible for identifying and converting high-potential leads into long-term partnerships, whether through direct outreach, strategic networks, or pitching to brands that need what we’ve built.

This is a high-impact, high-trust role for someone who understands early-stage sales, cultural nuance, and the difference between hype and real value.

What You’ll Do

  • Identify, qualify, and engage prospective partners and clients
  • Lead outbound outreach, pitch meetings, and proposal development
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of leads across our target verticals
  • Collaborate with product and marketing to refine go-to-market strategies
  • Work closely with the CEO to close deals, define pricing, and shape partner packages
  • Represent DEPARTMNT at events, industry gatherings, and online channels
  • Track pipeline activity and performance using CRM tools and reporting

What You’ll Bring

  • 5+ years of sales, partnerships, or business development experience, ideally within creative tech, SaaS, or cultural industries
  • Proven ability to open and close deals with brands or agencies
  • Strong storytelling and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience with CRM tools (e.g. HubSpot, Pipedrive, Notion)
  • Familiarity with the cultural space: fashion, music, Web3, or events
  • Bonus: understanding of NFC, digital product ecosystems, or Web3 integrations
  • Entrepreneurial mindset – proactive, strategic, and ready to build
