the role
We’re hiring a Marketing Strategist / Growth Lead to drive how DEPARTMNT shows up, scales up, and earns attention.
You’ll lead go-to-market campaigns, manage cross-channel strategies, and develop systems to grow both our B2C community and B2B pipeline.
This role mixes big-picture thinking with hands-on execution, perfect for someone who gets cultural marketing, product launches, and startup urgency.
What You’ll Do
- Own the marketing strategy across brand, product, and growth initiatives
- Develop and execute campaigns for launches, events, and tech rollouts
- Build and manage content calendars across IG, X, LinkedIn, and email
- Lead user acquisition strategies across organic, paid, and community channels
- Partner with design and product to create assets, landing pages, and growth loops
- Manage referral programs, waitlists, and early access funnels (e.g. GDC, LNK-UP)
- Track, analyse, and optimise performance across platforms
What You’ll Bring
- 3–5 years in marketing, growth, or digital strategy, ideally in a startup or creative tech brand
- Strong writing and storytelling skills, from headlines to hooks to CTAs
- Understanding of acquisition tactics across Web2 and Web3 environments
- Experience with social growth, community building, and brand comms
- Comfortable in tools like Notion, Figma, Mailchimp, Meta/Google Ads, GA
- Bonus: experience working with NFC, ecomm, or IRL event marketing
- Equal parts creative and analytical, you can write a tweet and a growth memo
